Why nothing is uploaded
Most "free online converters" upload your photos to a server, convert them there, and send a result back. That means a queue, a file-size cap, and a copy of your pictures on someone else's machine, which the FBI has warned is sometimes the whole point of the site.
OfflinePix runs the same decoders and encoders those servers use, compiled to WebAssembly and executed inside your browser tab. Your images go from your disk to your screen and back to your disk. The proof is simple: load this page, turn off your Wi-Fi, and convert something.
How it works
- Drop images. Any mix of HEIC, JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. Folders and clipboard paste work.
- Choose the output. Format, quality and an optional maximum size. Defaults are tuned to look identical to the original.
- Download. One file or a zip of all of them. Location data and other metadata are stripped on the way.
