OfflinePix is a product of Goods Media LLC ("OfflinePix," "we," "us"). These terms cover your use of offlinepix.com.
What the service is
OfflinePix is a free image converter that runs on your device. It converts HEIC, WebP, AVIF, JPG and PNG images, and compresses and resizes them, entirely in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we never receive them; see the privacy policy.
Your files and your responsibility
You are responsible for the files you convert and for having the right to use them. Keep your originals: in converted files, EXIF and other metadata, including GPS location, are removed, and animation is not preserved; the first frame is converted. Devices with little free memory may fail on very large files or very large batches. See how it works for what is and is not preserved. You use the site at your own risk.
No warranty
The site and the converter are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Goods Media LLC does not warrant that any converted file will suit any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Goods Media LLC and its members, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of property, profits, data, files or business, arising from use of or inability to use the site or reliance on its output, even if advised of the possibility. Because the site is free, Goods Media LLC's total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; where that is so, these limits apply to the extent allowed.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Goods Media LLC against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.
Open-source components
The heavy lifting is done by libheif, libavif, libwebp (via jSquash) and fflate. Each is used under its own licence, and those licences, not these terms, govern them. Their licences are shipped alongside the code in /assets/vendor/.
Trademarks and no affiliation
Format and product names used on the site, such as iPhone and Windows, belong to their owners and are used only to identify those formats and products. OfflinePix is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Apple, Google, Microsoft or the Alliance for Open Media.
Advertising
The site is supported by advertising. Ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies, as the privacy policy explains. Ads never have access to your images. An ad is not an endorsement by Goods Media LLC. Ads and other links lead to sites Goods Media LLC does not control; it is not responsible for their content, and their own terms apply.
Using the site
OfflinePix is free to use, with no account and nothing to buy. You may link to any page. Do not try to disrupt or overload the site or the servers that deliver it. The site's design, text and code are © Goods Media LLC, except the open-source components above, which belong to their authors; please do not republish the site or its pages wholesale.
General
These terms may change; the date on this page shows the last update, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona. Questions: hello@offlinepix.com.
